While we waited for Cliff and Erica to arrive later that afternoon, the great grandparents came over for another visit with Griffin. I love seeing them together! Griffin seems so comfortable with them.
Once C & E arrived, and Griffin woke up from his afternoon nap, we headed for the beach!! They were ready to get to the ocean and give Jack a chance to get some energy out after being in the car all day. It was late afternoon/early evening and that turned out to be the perfect time to go. The sun wasn't too strong and the beach wasn't too crowded.
Jack LOVED the beach. He was quite the little explorer! He ate lots of sand and seemed to like the water. He was crawling all over the place and having so much fun.
We had G decked out in his new swim outfit (though we knew he wouldn't really be swimming) and practically covered from head to toe trying to protect that sweet baby skin.
Griffin putting his toes in the ocean for the first time in his life! How cool...wonder what he thought of it? I wish about 100 times a day that he could tell us what he was thinking.
I'd say our first visit to the beach was a success!
