Look Alike?

A few weeks ago we took this picture of Griffin....

Doesn't he look adorable?  I could just eat him.

After seeing that picture of Griffin, both of my parents (separately) said it reminded them of this picture of me when I was younger...

We do sort of look alike, huh?  Seems like both Griffin and I have a fondness for workout headbands! Too bad we didn't take Griffin to Olan Mills for a full on photo shoot in his.  haha!

Stay tuned because I need to post blogs about our trip to the aquarium and Easter!  Though, I'm headed to the beach this weekend for a girl's trip so it will have to wait until next week!  Woohoo.

Goodbye Mullet, Hello Big Boy

Well, we've been thinking about doing this for some time now and we knew this day would come.  I've been putting off giving Griffin a hair cut because that's just one more thing that makes him look less babyish and more like a little boy!  However, the mullet comments were starting to get to me.  I felt bad for the kid...he doesn't have much hair to speak of, but he was born with a rat tail that slowly turned into a scraggly mullet.  It was due time to get the redneck out of this kid (and off of his head)!

Being the cheap frugal couple that we are, we decided to forgo the fancy kid hair cut place {where you get to sit on an airplane and eat dum dums while getting your hair cut} and do it ourselves...in the tub...with a slippery kid...and no experience to speak of.  This was a disaster waiting to happen!

Luckily, it turned out okay.  Don't look too closely or you may not agree, but we think this was worth saving $23.50 {that's the cost of the "first haircut package" at said fancy kid hair cut place}.

Mom?  What are you doing back there?

Chad didn't completely trust me (understandably so), so he had to take a stab at it too.

Chasing his hair down the drain.  Yes, we saved some it of it, but have no clue what to do with it now.

Chad and I thought we were being really funny by hiding from Griffin in the bathroom.  When he didn't come looking for us we wondered what he was up to and came out to find the rascal up here.  He LOVES playing with the light switch.

Hello sweet boy without hair hanging over your ears.

...and that's the cut folks!  Worth it, huh?!  Though I am going to miss running my fingers through that mullet.

Our big boy...too excited about his new doo to drink his bottle (or it could be the cupcake he ate at a friend's birthday party that afternoon...this kid was hyper!)

Dada is HILARIOUS!

The other night Griffin got soooo tickled at Chad.  For some reason Chad had this plastic toy in his mouth and he blew it out towards Griffin.  Well, G just LOST IT!  He was laughing hysterically, so I went to get the video camera, assuming that I probably wouldn't be able to catch it in time.  Turns out this went on for a good 5 minutes.  It makes me laugh every time I watch it...his laugh is so contagious and it's just so funny to see what gets Griffin's giggle bug going!

Kangazoom!

Last Monday was a yucky day, so I decided to have a day of inside fun with Griffin.  I just used a coupon to buy 10 visits at this Kangazoom place near us.  It's basically a "bounce house" place with lots of inflatables.  We've been talking about taking Griffin there since before he was born...so, we finally tired it out.  Griffin loved it!  I think he has as much fun just walking around and pointing at things as he did on the bouncy things.

It was so cute...Griffin was afraid of this car (I have no idea why) for the majority of the morning...until this cute little brunet was in there.  He joined her and then her friends joined them.  They were going to the "beach" and they just looooved Griffin.  Such a ladies man!
After Kangazoom, we headed to Burger King for a quick lunch. I knew I was pushing it on time and that he'd be ready for a nap soon.
The car ride home wasn't fun for anyone....

But once we got home the little man passed out!  It was a fun day!

It was so fun, in fact, that we decided to take Dada back on Sunday!  A good time was had by all.

...and this time, the ride home was much more enjoyable!
