Well, we've been thinking about doing this for some time now and we knew this day would come. I've been putting off giving Griffin a hair cut because that's just one more thing that makes him look less babyish and more like a little boy! However, the mullet comments were starting to get to me. I felt bad for the kid...he doesn't have much hair to speak of, but he was born with a rat tail that slowly turned into a scraggly mullet. It was due time to get the redneck out of this kid (and off of his head)!
Being the
cheap frugal couple that we are, we decided to forgo the fancy kid hair cut place {where you get to sit on an airplane and eat dum dums while getting your hair cut} and do it ourselves...in the tub...with a slippery kid...and no experience to speak of. This was a disaster waiting to happen!
Luckily, it turned out okay. Don't look too closely or you may not agree, but we think this was worth saving $23.50 {that's the cost of the "first haircut package" at said fancy kid hair cut place}.

Mom? What are you doing back there?

Chad didn't completely trust me (understandably so), so he had to take a stab at it too. |

Chasing his hair down the drain. Yes, we saved some it of it, but have no clue what to do with it now. |

Chad and I thought we were being really funny by hiding from Griffin in the bathroom. When he didn't come looking for us we wondered what he was up to and came out to find the rascal up here. He LOVES playing with the light switch. |

Hello sweet boy without hair hanging over your ears. |
|
...and that's the cut folks! Worth it, huh?! Though I am going to miss running my fingers through that mullet. |

Our big boy...too excited about his new doo to drink his bottle (or it could be the cupcake he ate at a friend's birthday party that afternoon...this kid was hyper!) |
